About Mazean
Mazean is a fast multiplayer first-person shooter where everyone plays as a small robot. You drop into an arena with real players from around the world plus bots, grab a laser weapon and battle to top the scoreboard. There is no blood or gore: when a robot is beaten, the kill feed simply says it was "scrapped" or "terminated".
Matches are quick and easy to join. A live scoreboard in the top right corner ranks every robot in the arena, and a counter shows how many people are online right now. When you are shut down, a results screen shows your session stats, such as bot victories, player victories, play time and crowns, and you can jump straight back in with Play Again.
There is real variety in the weapons. You can switch between laser guns called Photon, Prism, Beam, Flicker and Arc, each with its own feel, so part of the fun is finding the one that suits you. A rank system and achievements, such as total victories and long-range shots ("longshots"), give you goals that last longer than a single match.
Controls are the classic PC shooter layout: W, A, S and D to move, the mouse to aim, left click or F to shoot, Space to jump and Shift to sprint. Q and E switch between your equipment slots.
Mazean has a live chat where players can type to each other. See the safety tips below the game, and grown-ups may want to keep an eye on younger players.

- Jump with Space to dodge shots and to surprise robots below you.
- Try every weapon (Photon, Prism, Beam, Flicker and Arc) and stick with the one you aim best with.
- Watch the kill feed at the top to see who is winning and where the fights are.
- Long-range hits count as "longshots" in your achievements, so practise picking off robots from far away.
