Who we are
PlayGamesLab ("we", "us") is a free browser-games website for players of all ages. This policy explains what information we collect, why, who can see it, how long we keep it and the choices you have. Questions: info@playgameslab.com.
Players of all ages
Anyone can play our games without an account. Before anyone creates an account we ask for their birth year. If a player tells us they are under 13, we do not create an account and we do not store any of their details — they can keep playing every game as a guest. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we delete it promptly.
Information we collect
Guests: we do not ask for a name, email or any other contact details. If you tap “OK” on our cookie banner we also collect analytics (see Cookies & analytics). Account holders (13+): name, email address, password (stored hashed) and birth year (to confirm age). If you sign in with Google we receive your name and email only — not your photo or contacts. Game activity: games played and play time, coins, gems and reward history, streaks, daily quests, Brain Quiz answers and your daily Lucky Spin, saved games and ratings. Avatar: the look and items you choose (no photos). Friends (optional): your friend code, friends, friend requests, the quick messages you send (preset phrases only — there is no free-text chat), players you block and reports you send or receive, and — only if you allow it — your online status and the game you are playing. Security: sign-in records (email, IP address and browser) to protect accounts from misuse. Messages you send us through the contact form or game suggestions.
How we use information
To run the website and your account; to remember your progress, rewards, avatar and saved games; to run Friends features you choose to use; to keep the service safe, review reports and prevent abuse; to answer your messages; and — only with your consent — to understand how the site is used so we can improve it. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not use it for personalized advertising.
Who can see your information
There are no public profiles and nobody can search for you by name. Only friends you have accepted (added with your private friend code) can see your first name, your avatar and — if you turn it on — whether you are online and which game you are playing. For players aged 13–17 online status is off by default. Our staff can see reports sent to us so they can keep the community safe.
Service providers
We use trusted providers to run the service: MongoDB Atlas (database hosting), Amazon Web Services (servers and encrypted backups), Cloudflare (security and fast delivery), Google (Analytics, only with your consent, and Google sign-in if you choose it) and our payment provider for Pro plans. They process data only on our instructions. Games are supplied by partners such as GamePix and GameDistribution and run inside their own game player, which may use its own cookies and consent notices; their privacy policies apply to that player. Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including India and the United States, with appropriate safeguards.
Advertising
Some games are provided by third-party game distributors and may show adverts inside the game. We do not use personal information from guests or from players under 13 for personalized (interest-based) advertising, and we configure our advertising partners to serve contextual, non-personalized ads to them. A Pro subscription gives unlimited play time; it does not remove adverts shown inside partner games.
Children’s privacy
We follow the US Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the UK Age Appropriate Design Code. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. There is no open chat anywhere on the site: Friends is only for account holders aged 13+, friends are added only with a private code, and they can send only preset friendly messages. Players can block and report anyone, and privacy-protective settings are on by default. Parents and guardians can contact us at info@playgameslab.com to ask whether we hold any information about their child and to have it deleted.
How long we keep information
Account information is kept while your account is open. Daily quest, quiz and spin records are deleted after 30 days; friends’ quick messages after 7 days; sign-in records and visit statistics after 90 days; contact messages after 2 years. Encrypted backups are kept for up to 30 days and then deleted. Payment records for Pro plans are kept as long as the law requires.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account yourself at any time: Dashboard → Profile → Delete my account. This removes your account, progress, coins, avatar, friends, messages, blocks and reports straight away; copies in our encrypted backups are removed automatically within 30 days. You can also email info@playgameslab.com and we will do it for you.
Security
We use HTTPS encryption, hashed passwords, rate limits against misuse, encrypted backups and trusted third-party payment processing to protect your information.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example the UK, EU, India or California), you can ask to access, correct, download or delete your personal information, or object to or restrict certain processing. We process information to provide the service you asked for, to keep it safe (our legitimate interests) and, for analytics, with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. Email info@playgameslab.com and we will respond within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Changes
If we make important changes to this policy we will update the date at the top of this page and, where required, let account holders know.
