Blood-Red Snow
About Blood-Red Snow
Blood-Red Snow is a samurai survival game set in a frozen Japanese village. You play a lone warrior standing in the middle of a snowy field, and enemies keep coming from every side: bandits, ronin and other fighters closing in a few at a time, then in crowds. Your job is simple to say and hard to do: stay alive for as long as you can.
You don't press an attack button. Your hero swings their blade automatically, so all of your attention goes on movement. Walk with the W, A, S and D keys, keep away from the thickest part of the crowd and let your weapon do the work. A timer at the top of the screen counts how long you have lasted, and a counter keeps track of how many enemies you have defeated.
Each run makes you stronger for the next one. You level up during the fight, earn coins, and build stats such as Health, Armor, Recovery, Move Speed, Might, Critical, Area, Cooldown and Magnet. You start as Renji, a straw-hat ronin with a katana. More heroes wait behind locks, such as Li Bai, whose purchase opens after you defeat 100 enemies.
Outside the fights there is plenty to collect. The Collection screen shows the heroes, enemies, weapons and relics you have found, there are achievements to unlock, and Daily Rewards give you coins for coming back each day. The hand-drawn art, with dark wooden gates, snowy pines and a big moon, gives every run a moody, cinematic feel.
You can play as a guest with no account. Your progress is then saved in your browser, or you can sign in through the game's own optional Xsolla login to keep it in the cloud.
- 1On the first screen, choose Play as guest (or sign in to save your progress in the cloud)
- 2Press any button on the title screen to continue
- 3Collect your Daily Reward, then choose Start on the main menu
- 4Pick your hero on the Character Select screen (Renji is unlocked from the start) and press Confirm
- 5Move with the W, A, S and D keys
- 6Your hero attacks on their own
- 7Keep moving so enemies can't surround you, and survive as long as you can
- 8Use the coins you earn to unlock new heroes, then try to beat your best time
- A run starts as soon as you confirm your hero
- Enemies appear around you in growing numbers, and your hero attacks automatically
- The run ends when your health bar, shown at the bottom left next to your level, runs out
- The timer at the top of the screen shows how long you survived, and the counter at the top right shows how many enemies you defeated
- Coins and unlocks carry over between runs, so even a short run moves you forward
- Never stand still. Walk in wide circles so the crowd follows you in a line instead of closing in from every side.
- Stay near open snow and away from corners, where you can easily get trapped.
- Watch your health bar at the bottom left and move away from big groups when it gets low.
- Claim your Daily Reward every day; the coins add up quickly for unlocking new heroes.
- Check the Character Select screen to compare hero stats like Health, Might and Move Speed before a run.
- Survivors-style action: enemies come in waves and you attack automatically
- Simple controls: move with W, A, S and D
- Unlockable heroes, starting with the straw-hat ronin Renji
- Hero stats: Health, Armor, Might, Critical, Area, Cooldown, Magnet and more
- Collection of heroes, enemies, weapons and relics, plus achievements
- Daily Rewards and progress saved in your browser
- Hand-drawn winter Japan art style

It is a sword-fighting game with small red splashes on the snow when enemies are hit, but no gore. We suggest it for older kids and teens, around 12 and up.
